Photograph the page. It is read, and read back to you with the words it is unsure of numbered, so you correct those and only those before anything is filed.

Every correction is learned, so the same word is never misread twice. Nothing is written to the record until a person has confirmed the transcription, which is the only safe design for a system that reads handwriting.
What it left behind
A private lexicon of the writer's own vocabulary, which is what makes the second year cheaper than the first.
